Carrying His Joy

We are like our Father. We have character qualities of joy and hope. Just as Jesus brought hope and joy to the woman caught in adultery, we are teaching others that there is hope for every person and every situation. Being infused daily with Papa God’s joy and hope is needed for great Kingdom impact in all of our lives. As world changers you carry His joy and hope wherever you go setting fires of joy and hope in the lives of others!

Gaze upon him, join your life with his, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. Psalm 34:5 (TPT)

First, you gaze or look to Jesus, second, you join your life with His when you give Him your life, and third, joy comes into your heart. It says each one of your faces will glisten with glory, which means you will not carry any more shame. Jesus has removed guilt, shame and condemnation since He took the full weight of our sin! He brings us into kingdom freedom and life.

BIBLE LESSON: WOMAN CAUGHT IN ADULTERY – JOHN 8:1-12 (ERV)

The most important thing for you to learn from this Bible story is that God loves everyone so…much that He’s ready to forgive every sin. As we read this you will see how religious men were trying to set Jesus up to say or do something wrong, so they could harass him and have him thrown into jail.

We see Jesus in the temple bending down to write with His finger on the stone floor. I wonder what He wrote. Maybe He was recounting when God wrote the Ten Commandments with His own finger on the tablets of stone for Moses. We read that her accusers eventually all left.

The Pharisees probably paid someone to be with this woman just to embarrass her and trick Jesus. They were just like the devil, who always tries to trick, lie and set people up to sin. But Jesus was wise and shared Papa God’s love and forgiveness.

Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:1-12 (ERV)

This woman thought she was going to die because of her sin. Jesus shows love and forgiveness to this woman. This one woman looked into Jesus’ eyes and saw grace and goodness, she joined her life with His and she experienced great forgiveness and joy! Her face probably glistened with glory! Just like the verse tells us; Gaze upon him, join your life with his, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. Psalm 34:5 (TPV).

One of the most important things for us to learn from this Bible story is that Papa God loves everyone so…much that He’s ready to forgive every sin. His love is greater than your sin and the sin of the whole world.

We also see in this story that mercy and forgiveness are available as well as the call to walk in holiness. Whatever God calls us to, He provides the grace and power to live it!

THIS WOMAN DID NOT DIE, BUT EXPERIENCED KINGDOM LOVE, FORGIVENESS, MERCY, GRACE AND LIFE IN JESUS!! THIS WOMAN WAS GIVEN JOY AND HOPE THAT SHE NEVER NEW EXISTED BEFORE SHE MET JESUS!

This love, forgiveness and life is available to all of us. Jesus wants to meet each one of us and lift us out of our difficult and sometimes sinful situations. Jesus has made available all the grace we need to walk in holiness. He also gives us joy and hope that we may have never known existed!

You and I then have the honor and privilege of carrying His love, joy, hope, forgiveness and life and offer this to others! Oh, that they may gaze upon him, join their life with his, and joy will come into their lives. Their faces will glisten also with glory! Their world will be forever changed!
