LIVING IN FREEDOM

Jesus is so fully surrendered to the Father that He does nothing on His own initiative. He is fully surrendered His will to the Father.

Although Jesus is the most powerful, wise and competent man who ever lived. Because of His wisdom and competence He is uniquely qualified to act independently and to rely on His own ability.

But He has voluntarily surrendered the independent exercise of His will to the will of the Father.

Jesus is the most competent man who ever lived, but He lives fully dependent on the Father for direction and fully dependent on the Holy Spirit for empowerment.

John 5:19-21 tells us, "Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does." (NKJV)

Jesus is the meekest most fully surrendered human, but He is at the same time operating in the most power, freedom and joy of any human!

Meekness is not Weakness! Meekness is human strength surrendered to God’s will.

He is calling you into the same a lifestyle that displays both maximum surrender of your will and maximum joy and freedom!

Meek people don’t have to work hard in their own ability to build God’s kingdom because their meekness qualifies them for an inheritance they didn’t have to work for.

God is not calling to employ more human effort to “die to self”. If you could die to self by the power of self effort than you would have the right to be self righteous.

He is calling you to relinquish control of your inferior life so He can exchange it with a superior life. The requirement of the cross is a surrendered will but focus of the cross is not the pain, but the gain!

What the Father Does, the Son Does

John 5:19-20, "Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does."

In the Message version we read, "So Jesus explained himself at length. “I’m telling you this straight. The Son can’t independently do a thing, only what he sees the Father doing. What the Father does, the Son does. The Father loves the Son and includes him in everything he is doing."

Hebrews 1:8-9 "But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions.

Do you want to live the same lifestyle as Jesus that displays both maximum surrender of your will and maximum joy and freedom? Do you want to live a superior life?

Today is the day you can step into this journey of joy and freedom. God hears the cry of your heart. Tell Him today, "Lord I want You to manage my life. I surrender control to You right now. I receive all that You have for me. You have made it possible for me to live a superior life. I now receive Your joy and freedom. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Enjoy your freedom as you live a life of joy doing what the Father does and saying what He tells you to say. You are carrying His joy and freedom to others who are desperate for this revelation and experience.
